New Delhi,March 6, 2012: UFO 0110 International Digital Film Festival continued to attract more talent from world cinema with acclaimed Bollywood personalities Sudhir Mishra, actors Vinay Pathak and Soha Ali Khan joining the unique festival as jury that also boasts of many international names.
The festival that is aimed at promoting the digital format of movie making and showcasing cutting-edge digital films from around the world, will take place from 9th March to 15th March 2012?at?Siri Fort Auditorium,?New Delhi.

The jury for this year?s festival comprises of an interesting mix of Indian as well as internationally renowned personalities from the filmmaking industry. An avid supporter of digital filmmaking Sudhir Mishra continued his association with the festival for the second consecutive edition while Vinay Pathak and Soha Ali Khan are the new entries.
Italian film editor Gabriella Cristiani, film producer Ruth Charny, are representing the international cinema and theatre artist Gitanjali Rao, filmmaker Mahesh Mathai and graphic designer Orijit Sen have come on board as the jury members for the digital fest, which is in its fourth edition. The last year?s jury included renowned director Anurag Kashyap, Rajan Khosa , Sudhir Mishra, Film maker and Festival Director Madhureeta Anand and the well known versatile actress Tabu.
Whereas, lyricist?Javed Akhtar and film producer Sid M Jain, who produced ?Ragini MMS? will participate in the seminar to discuss the future of digitalization in film industry.

?This year, we have received a great response. It is a great source of encouragement for us that we have received entries from 55 countries. It is not a small number and moreover the quality of the films very high. Many films that have been registered this year, for the festival have travelled international film fests and all set for India premier. We are looking forward to have well known and regarded film personalities. Mr. Sudhir Mishra, a renowned and critically acclaimed Bollywood director, says, ?Its great to be back with film festival such as International Digital Film Festival. IDFF help in opening one?s head besides entertaining you. It is a wonderful medium for independent voices and certainly more and more people are opening to the idea of digital film making. The quality of films churned out by amateurs was on par last year with that observed in a professional?s work. The excellent story ideas and creative treatment left me mesmerized and I am looking forward to some equally good work this year as well.?

The seven day program includes 126 film screening selected out of 600 entries. These films will compete for six award categories; Best Feature Film (Above 60 minutes), Best Short Film (Below 60 minutes), Best Documentary Film, Best Special Effects/ Animation, Best Student Film, and Digital Art/ Installation.

Apart from film screening, there will be film making competitions such as ?Film in 6 days? and ?Mobile film?.

About Madhureeta Anand
Madhureeta Anand is an independent and award winning filmmaker since 1995. She shifted her field of work from mainstream television production to documentary filmmaking. She has directed and produced many documentary films and series. Most of her work explored the areas of culture, religion and anthropology. Her other films looked at the issues of education in India and child abuse. Many of her films have been telecast on international channels like BBC, Channel 4, Discovery and National Geographic. Her first commercial feature film?Mere KhwabonMein Jo Aaye?released in February 2009.
