Our client is currently looking for a Marketing Brand Manager, reporting directly to the VP of Marketing.? In this role you will have up to 6 direct reports and will oversee/manage exploiting opportunities in the market, contributing to marketing strategies and maximizing brand positioning.
Overall responsibilities include the following:
- Building/developing of budgets related to brand, campaign and segment marketing
- Identifying, developing and evaluating world class brand/product marketing strategies
- Collaborating with Research, Agencies and other team members for tracking brand awareness and effectiveness
- Implementing/planning strategies, balancing company objectives and member segment priorities
- Developing/leading all advertising, media? and promotional activities to drive awareness
- Directing tradeshows, brand enhancing sponsorships and promotional items
- Managing sales forecasts and strategic planning to ensure sales and profitability of products and services
- Consulting with internal team members regarding Intranet, Training Programs and Internal facilities, ensuring alignment with brand and external messages
- Consulting with legal staff to ensure trademarks are properly registered, product disclosure, copyright infringement, etc
- Providing training, coaching and education of campaign team members
- Managing employee performance, career planning, goal setting solving problems that impact personnel
- Providing leadership to the Brand Team, day-to-day decisions including hiring, process improvements, policy development, issues management, etc.
- Liaising with internal department clients
- Establishing relationships internally, external partners and suppliers
- Fostering a healthy team environment and team development
To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following Skills and attributes:
- 10 plus years leading a marketing/branding team
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, preferably an MBA
- Strong business acumen, strong analytical reasoning
- Capacity to understand and interpret qualitative and quantitative research for business purposes including the ability to recognize and identify business opportunities, both internally (business improvements) and externally (opportunities)
- Exceptional project management skills from planning stages to final assessment
- Ability to independently lead key projects and interdepartmental teams to achieve strategic brand and sales goals
- Experience preparing business cases for senior management
- Experience in executing / leading strategy projects and financial analysis
- Understanding of the workings of advertising agencies and other creative suppliers
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule; may require weekend and / or evening work for various promotions/projects
- Ability multi-task, prioritize daily demands to meet tight deadlines
